• About Me

     

    Hi, there! I'm Lauren: a writer, editor, content strategist, content marketer, community manager, project manager, and consultant — all in one! Basically, those are all just fancy words to say I wear a lot of hats. And I'm here to help.

     

    I am a graduate of the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communication and hold a B.S. in Magazine Journalism, along with two minors (one in English, one in marketing). My work has been published in Allure, Bustle, ShermansTravel, POPSUGAR, and more.

     

    As a trained storyteller and strategist with an eye for detail, I am passionate about creating and crafting clear, concise, and compelling content that will help you put your best foot forward.     Drafting School Lists: Compiling your own list of potential colleges can be a daunting, often-overwhelming task. This is where I come into the picture. To learn more about your goals, needs, interests, and requirements, I'll ask you an array of strategically formatted questions, which will help me gather detailed notes. Utilizing this key information, I'll help formulate your very own cohesive and comprehensive list of schools.  Personal Statements: Whether you're a prospective undergraduate or graduate student, crafting a clear, compelling, and captivating personal statement can greatly increase your chances of admission. I offer an array of personal statement services — from initial assessments and final edits to brainstorming and content ideation—  designed to walk you (and your family!) through each step of the essay writing process.  Resumes and Cover Letters:  Ensuring your application materials — whether it's for your dream job, internship, or school — can be tricky, and an extra pair of eyes is always helpful. We'll work together to write, edit, shape, and structure your materials so you can feel confident upon submitting your application!Supplemental Essays:  Many schools require supplemental essays in addition to the main personal statement. These shorter essays can be challenging when it comes to ideation, word count, and everything in between. I'll work with you to brainstorm, draft, and edit your supplemental essays —ensuring that you're utilizing this space to share captivating, intellectually stimulating, and creative stories.

    Ideation and Introduction: Tell me what you're passionate about. What are your goals? How can I help? Let the brainstorming begin. Set a Plan in Place: It's time to get moving. We'll set some dates and deadlines, and we'll come up with a strategy to succeed.Tweaks, Touch-Ups, and Back-and-Forths: We'll communicate via email, Zoom, and Google Docs, You'll ask questions and I'll have answers. In the meantime, we'll keep writing and editing together — yes, I'm here every step of the way.
